Cheng-Chiu is the Director of Portfolio and Pipeline Management at Ansun Biopharma. He received his postdoctoral training in neural circuit formation and peripheral neuropathy from HHMI-Janelia Research Campus and Washington University in St. Louis, after getting his Ph.D. from Baylor College of Medicine. Before joining Ansun, Cheng-Chiu worked at Merck and TLC Biopharmaceuticals. Cheng-Chiu is passionate about drug discovery, corporate development, science communication, as well as amateur volleyball games.

Dr. Hsueh is a clinical pharmacologist at Gilead Science, supporting inflammatory, oncology, hepatitis C (HCV) and nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) programs. Prior to Gilead, he was an Oak Ridge Institute for Science Education (ORISE) fellow at the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). He received his PHD (pharmacology) and BS (pharmacy) in National Taiwan University.

Linya Wang 王琳雅

Dr. Wang is a microbiologist and cell biologist. She is now working as a Staff Scientist at Twist Bioscience, which focuses on GPCR assay development and therapeutic antibody drug discovery that can be applied to immunotherapy, cell therapy, and target therapy. Prior to entering industrial field, she received her Ph.D. in Microbiology at National Taiwan University College of Medicine, and worked in Institute of Molecular Biology at Academia Sinica, Taiwan. She then finished her postdoctoral training in Molecular Microbiology and Immunology at University of Southern California, USA.. She has also been involved in National Taiwan University Alumni Association as the President of Young Professional Group, Taiwanese Junior Chamber of Commerce as the Board of Director, Southern California Taiwanese Biotechnology Association as the President, and Bay Area Taiwanese Biotechnology Association as the President.

RC Chin-Wen Lai grew up in Taiwan. After getting his medical lab technician certification at National Taiwan University, RC decided to stay in research with Dr. Mi-Hua Tao at Academia Sinica in Taiwan. He came to the United States and got his Immunology Ph.D. at Washington University in Saint Louis with Dr. Thad Stappenbeck. At Amgen, RC is an immunoncology Scientist at ASF. During his downtime, RC competes in triathlons and plays volleyball and even tore his ACL. Fortunately he recovered well and is back on the courts. Unbeknownst to many, he is also invested in environmental protection as an instructor and guide in Society of Wilderness, dedicated to protecting the natural and ecological environment in Taiwan through education, habitat preservation, and public participation.

Sherry Fang-Shiuan Leung 梁芳瑄

Assistant Specialist/ PhD Student,

Sherry is currently a PhD student in Genetics and Genomics at Baylor College of Medicine. She is interested in developing gene therapy for retinal diseases. Previously, she was an Assistant Specialist at UC San Francisco. She studied morphogenesis and signaling in the mouse model, with a particular focus on craniofacial and foregut development. She graduated from UC Davis where she received a B.S. degree in Biological Sciences. She had joined the entrepreneurship committee and served as the Secretary-General for the Taiwanese American Junior Chamber of Commerce Northern California (TAJCCNC). She also served as the Board of Director for the Taiwanese Junior Chamber of Commerce North America (TJCCNA).
